More details from the Ezekiel Elliott, domestic violence case were released this week. After Zeke’s interview at the NFLPA petition hearing, we have now come to realize that there is more to this story than we originally thought. If you haven’t heard by now, Cowboys superstar running back, Ezekiel Elliott was suspended by the NFL 6 games, for domestic violence on his ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Thompson. Elliott, and the Cowboys appealed the ruling, but on Tuesday it was announced by the NFL, that the ruling would be upheld. Elliott has been very vocal, since the beginning of the case, that Tiffany Thompson was nothing more than a booty-call to him; one of the many girls he was having sex with at the time. That Thompson was just trying to “ruin” him, and get paid off the situation. After the interview with NFL Lawyer, Daniel Nash, we found out that there was much, much more to this!
Drugs and Alcohol: Ezekiel Elliott’s NFLPA petition hearing took place at the Eastern District Court of Texas, August 29-31. NFL Lawyer Daniel Nash interviewed Zeke, and asked him some very controversial questions in the hearing. Back in September 2016, Tiffany Thompson was interviewed by Kia Roberts, (NFL lead investigator) and a question was brought up about Elliott’s drug use. Thompson then admitted that she had witnessed Elliott smoking weed and using cocaine, while they were in Miami. She also revealed a text message conversation between her and Elliott, discussing what he need to do to pass one of his upcoming drug test.
Ezekiel Elliott’s drug use was brought up in his interview with Daniel Nash and this is what he had to say:
Nash: “And I think you said you liked her (Tiffany Thompson) because she like to party, drink, do drugs?
Nash: “You like to do that too?”
Elliott: “I do like to party.”
Nash: “And like to get drunk?
Nash: “You like to do drugs?”
Elliott: “I did in college.”
Pregnant with Twins: According to sportsday.dallasnews.com, Tiffany Thompson told Kia Roberts back in their interview that her an Elliott were pregnant with twins early in 2016. She claims she informed Elliott about the pregnancy on March 10, 2016 but, Zeke stated in his interview, she told him on the last day of the NFL Combine which was February 29th. That April, Thompson flew to Chicago (During the time of NFL Draft, where Elliott was drafted 4th by the Cowboys) and had an abortion.
In Zeke’s Interview, when asked about the pregnancy, he stated under oath: “Well, my intention was to be done with her, but now she was pregnant with my child.” He later said “I just made it very clear to her…we weren’t ready to have a child. I believe she got pregnant on purpose.”
Supposed Sex with Teammates: In Tiffany Thompson’s previous interview in 2016, she told the investigator that at one point she had been in contact with one of Ezekiel Elliott’s teammates, Lucky Whitehead. According to her they weren’t dating, but continued to chat back and forth through social media. Once Elliott found out, he became outraged and forced her to block Lucky from her contacts. Apparently, some of the domestic violence’s incidents stemmed from this issue.
On dallasobserver.com, they revealed Elliott’s comments on the matter. Here’s what Zeke had to say: “So, like I mentioned before, when Tiffany saw me doing well or just doing well without her, she did not like that and she would go through an measure to kind of ruin my moment or ruin what’s going on, and so particularly this moment was-after we had a big win (versus) the Steelers, and I had a very good game, and while I’m boarding the plane from Pittsburgh to Dallas, I received like 15 texts from an unknown number , and the text were screenshots of text messages between Tiffany and one of my current teammates that play with me for the Cowboys. And then there was a picture of a hotel reservation which had her name and also his name on it. Basically, her telling me that she slept with one of my teammates the previous week while we were in Cleveland.”
With all these new details coming out, it seems that there is a lot more to this story than we might have figured. One thing I do know, Ezekiel Elliott and Tiffany Thompson were a lot more serious than Zeke previously claimed. They had a very serious relationship. An extremely unhealthy relationship, but serious none the less. The Cowboy’s and Elliott continue to fight the suspension, but after reading this, I don’t know how much of a case they have. I guess we will just have to wait and see what details come out next.
